Journal 3 Marissa Latouche

Audience is defined as the group the writer performing or speaking to. Knowledge is information that is collected based off of experience and credibility. Audience and knowledge helps create the writing piece and keep the writing piece structured. Lunsford and Estrem define Audience and knowledge in a similar way as audience and knowledge as a very important factor in creating a successful writing piece. Audience is what the writing piece is structured for and knowledge must be used to create a credible writing piece. Anzadula's definition helps me as new writer understand the difference between knowledge and audience and why each is so important. Knowledge is much more than understanding one subject , but a combination of knowledge in multiple areas in order to fulfill all aspects of successful writing pieces. My definition of audience and knowledge has changed slightly as I understand now what an impact audience and knowledge makes in writing.
