I would define medium as the way that information is presented, and also as a uniform way that everyone can get their information. Medium is connected to technology because as technology evolves, their are new mediums to display text, for example social media.
genre- medium connects to genre because genres are made out of mediums, such as books
audience- connected because a medium always has an audience looking at it
knowledge- people share their knowledge using mediums
purpose- all mediums have a purpose, whether it is to entertain, or to share how you feel
