I would define audience as the whoever the piece of writing is written for. In a scientific article for example, the audience would be people interested in science. Knowledge is information gained and stored by a person whether it be by experience or by learning or reading.  Based on these definitions and the writings, i now know that the audience gains knowledge from writing.'

After reading these writings, my definition of audience and knowledge has not really changed. I was generally in agreement with the statements made in both writings
